Susan Fedynak’s intermedia practice blends writing, performance, visual art, teaching, community organizing, and collaboration — with each project defining a new variation of her hybrid approach. Her work has most recently been shown at Fundación Botín in Santander, Spain, The Tank Theater in New York, NY, Core New Art Space in Denver, Colorado, The Pratt Institute Library Gallery in Brooklyn, NY, and has been published in various literary journals including Paper Darts, Cleaver, The Felt, and Flock.


Her education in the arts began with intense theater conservatory training at Fiorello H. LaGuardia, a specialized high school in New York City. She later went on to earn a BFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College in Boston, MA, USA and an MFA in Writing from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, USA.


Since 2011 she has been an active member of the NY Writers Coalition, an arts and social justice organization working in all five boroughs of NewYork City; in 2012 she became a certified NY Writers Coalition workshop leader, facilitating free creative writing workshops for underserved populations — with a focus on elders and women.
